The Upcoming Trial

Object-oriented programming has been the tripping stone for me in Java programming module so far, yet it essentially represents the core of the language. It’s taken me a bit of time to accustom to the idea of constructors, accessors and mutators, but writing methods for these have easily become habits now.
I’ve spent quite a fair bit of the past week on programming Java, not only to complete my fifth lab assignment but also to prepare for my upcoming Practical Examination this Saturday. This will be another first experience for me, and I can only hope that I’ll be able to understand the question and design the algorithms correctly, not to mention writing the program with the appropriate syntax. I believe that like Math, practising frequently with a variety of problems will invariably lead one to develop a certain kind of second nature tuned to effectively break down programming problems.
And with this in mind, I’ll probably be cramming as much practice as I can tomorrow.
Update: I’m really glad to say that I did surprisingly well for my practical examination. I was certainly confident but I didn’t expect to score such high marks. I’m not trying to blow my own horn; I guess I just can’t help being really pleased with myself.
