More School

by Kah Hong

The intensity of school has picked up signficantly over the past few weeks, notably as we near the end of the semester. Tutorial assignments are increasingly more difficult, especially in math and programming, so I am defintely going to have to pull my socks up soon.

My main concern actually lies with the project due for my CS1105 Computing and Society module. With this module being non-examinable and a high percentage of marks being awarded for the project (and assigment, which thankfully has been submitted), it’s quite a scramble trying to get it done, let alone done well. The deadline for the project submission is less than a month away, and frankly I’m disappointed with some of my group member’s contributions, or lack of, rather.

Majority of the work so far is being done by two or three of us only, and the worrying aspect is that we’re building our project on a platform unfamiliar to most of us. Flash CS3, that is. Admittedly, this is a great opportunity to get started learning the basics of Flash CS3 and ActionScript 3.0, but under such time constraints the task at hand is significantly more challenging.
